Lebron James doesn’t like people talking smack about his teammates no matter who you are. And that includes hall of famer Charles Barkley. Last week Barkley said on TNT that James’s teammate, Dwyane Wade, was starting to “lose his athletic ability”. Well after Wade scored 26 points in the Miami Heat’s 101-92 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Monday, James had this to say:
”It means Charles Barkley needs to shut up,” James said. ”I mean, the man’s shooting 80 percent from the floor in the last couple games. Come on, man. That’s like crazy, right? That’s why he is who he is. Unbelievable.”
Barkley made the comment after the Heat’s loss to the Knicks where Wade was 3-13 from the field and scored a modest 13 points. However, since the Heat’s last two games Wade has made 20-25 shots from field. Not to shabby eh Charles? Hats off to Lebron for checking Barkley like a real teammate should!
