Congratulations are in order for Indiana Pacers swingman Paul George! He was named Eastern Conference Player of the week. He got the nod Monday after averaging 23.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.3 blocks. Prior to receiving the award he had gone scoreless in the Dec 1st game against Golden state.
“It feels good,” George said before departing to Milwaukee for tonight’s game against the Bucks. ” . . . It really is a credit to the team and how well we’ve been playing. Really to coach (Frank Vogel) because our offense feels comfortable for myself, especially playing (small forward) now.”
The last time a Pacer won the award was back in the 07-08 season. Team veteran Danny Granger won it then. I have always loved Paul’s game. He is a pure shooter and a dynamic player all around. Not to mention that he has some nasty dunks in his repertoire! Check out the dunk below if you doubt me! Paul George is on the verge of becoming a superstar in the league. I look forward to him making the NBA all star team this year!
